The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill on organization and holding the 2015 European Basketball Championship finals in Ukraine

The bill (Reg. No. 3127) was elaborated in order to establish legal, social, economic and organizational basis for holding the championship and attracting international and home investors; develop sports, transport and city infrastructure; and secure implementation of commitments Ukraine has made to the FIBA Europe.

People’s deputies expressed several remarks to the bill noting, however, that they “can be eliminated during preparation of the bill for the second reading in the Committee”.
